Glenns Creek 10th Anniversary: Flood Survivor Whiskey!

Glenns Creek Distilling 10th Anniversary: A Flood Survivor Story & Exclusive Review! 🥃

We just got back from a trip to Frankfort, Kentucky, where we celebrated a truly special milestone: the 10th Anniversary of Glenns Creek Distilling! This wasn’t just any party; it was a testament to resilience and the incredible spirit of a community rallying around distiller David Meier and his team.

Just imagine: after suffering devastating losses from the horrific Frankfort floods, Glenns Creek Distilling worked tirelessly to make sure this event happened. The result? A fabulous day of camaraderie, shared passion, and some truly extraordinary whiskey.

In addition to meeting some amazing people, the silent auction was definitely a highlight for us. Fans traveled far and wide to bid on highly sought-after bottles, including flood survivors, crowd favorites, and even some from David Meier’s private collection. We were absolutely thrilled to win one of the most coveted bottles: the Millville Malt – a Kentucky Malt Whiskey. David himself told us he only ever made three barrels of this rare gem, and he hated to see it go!

As soon as we got home, we knew we had to open it and give it a full, honest review in honor of David and everyone at Glenns Creek Distilling.

What makes this expression so special? Click play ▶️ now to join us for our unfiltered tasting notes and discover if this rare “Millville Malt” truly lives up to its legendary status!

Jack Daniels 14 Year: Worth the Wait? Our Honest Review!

Intrigued by our deep dive into the Jack Daniel’s 12 Year back on March 24th, 2025? Well, the journey into aged Tennessee whiskey continues! We’ve managed to snag a highly coveted bottle of the Jack Daniel’s 14 Year Batch 1, and you know we couldn’t wait to share our experience with you.

This isn’t just another whiskey review; it’s a step into history. As Jack Daniel’s themselves stated in their press release, this release marks their oldest age-stated whiskey in over a century! Think about that – a taste of liquid history, matured to perfection right here in Lynchburg, Tennessee.

Just like the iconic Old No. 7, this 14-year-old expression starts with their signature mash bill (80% corn, 12% malted barley, 8% rye) and undergoes the Lincoln County Process – that meticulous drop-by-drop mellowing through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal. But what magic does those extra two years in the barrel impart? At a bold 126.3 proof (63.15% ABV), this promises a rich and intense experience.

The buzz around this release has been incredible. Will it live up to the hype? Will it surpass the impressive 12-year-old in our books? You can bet your favorite sipping glass that we’ll be delivering our unfiltered, honest assessment as we taste, dissect the nuances, and compare this remarkable whiskey.

Ready to join the tasting? Hit that play button now to witness our first impressions, detailed review, and final verdict on the Jack Daniel’s 14 Year Batch 1!

We want to hear from YOU too! Have you managed to get your hands on a bottle? What are your thoughts on this historic release? Drop a comment below – we love discussing whiskey with our community! Cheers!
